Award winning Hawaiian singer/songwritter Alii Keanaaina is from Kalaoa, North Kona whoʻs unique style is a blend of traditional and contemporary Hawaiian music with influences by Lena Machado, Akoni Malacas, and Isreal “Iz” Kamakawiwo’ole. Immersed into the culture at a young age he developed his love for music and language through Hula with Hālau Pohukaina as well as Hālau Nā Pua Haʻaheo O Kona.
He began his musical career in 2001 but came into prominence after winning the 2010 Klyde "Kindy" Falsetto and Storytelling Competition and releasing his debut album honoring his loved ones with He Mele No in 2012. In 2016 Alii presented an intimate record showcasing who he is with his sophomore album called “Music & Me”. He has entertained many VIP and A-List clients as well as headlined festivals internationally.
Alii is currently working on upcoming tours with his sponsor Kala Brand Ukuleles as their first traditional Hawaiian Artist while finishing his next album tentatively called “Haliu”. He will also be launching hula workshops in the west coast area for the popular hit songs “Eo and Mahina”.
